Learning and Development

Learning Needs Analysis and Qualitative Research

Effective training starts at the very beginning with identifying where the gaps are. That's where a Learning Needs Analysis serves as the foundation for your whole project or program. An LNA can identify what areas to focus training in, who your learners are, the best methods for course delivery, technical applications, and more.

Learning Needs Analysis Services Include: â€‹

  • Primary research (such as interviews and surveys, transcriptions, observational analysis)

  • Secondary research (such as content auditing, post-survey reviews, email feedback audits)

  • Stakeholder and SME collaboration

  • Qualitative Analysis and Coding

  • Technical Needs Analysis (reviewing the current LMS, exploring emerging technology options, identifying gaps in technical needs to deliver courses).

  • Data Visualization and Data Interpretation (report writing and visuals)

Course Development, Curriculum Development and Learning Outcomes

Working closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and stakeholders, instructional design incorporates identifying the learning objectives and then subsequently ensuring that the methodology and the curriculum reach those outcomes.

Design and Development Services include:

  • Learning Outcomes: By deploying frameworks like SAM or Bloom's Taxonomy, Coralyn develops learning objectives and outcomes that are actionable and measurable.

  • Curriculum Development: Working side by side with SMEs and stakeholders, Coralyn develops curriculum that ensures learners are reaching the learning objectives by the end of their learning journey.

  • Course Architecture: Instructional Design Architecture ensures that the content and the structure of the framework are logical and functional and meet the expectations of course development.

  • Course Delivery: Using the LNA as a roadmap, Coralyn can identify which learning methodology and course delivery make the most sense for your learning project. Whether that's discovery learning, gamification, Just-in-Time (JIT), asynchronous, virtual, or blended.

Assessments and Evaluations Design

Measuring our learners' progress, gaps, and outcomes is a critical part of the learning and instructional design process. Unbiased and effective assessments are a significant asset in your training projects.

Assessment and Evaluation Design Services include:

  • Assessment Design: Skilled in developing unbiased and non-biased questions, Coralyn can create both closed-ended and open-ended questions that align with learning objectives and help identify gaps.

  • Post Course Surveys: Guide learners through extrinsic and intrinsic motivation to participate in a post-course survey to help identify strengths and weaknesses in your training materials. Gather opinions and feedback for future program development.
